What you doing this Weekend?

What you doing this Weekend? Well hopefully you got your tickets all ready if not you better hit craigslist or prepare to squeal like a pig(if you really desperate). Big Texas Beer Fest is this weekend. Correct me if I’m wrong this is the first large beer fest in the metroplex. I know Blue Bonnet was there but that was more a home brew thing. This one really stepped up and brought something new to the Dallas Fort Worth area.

Anyway it is April 11th. If you got tickets you know your either VIP or General Admission. For more information you can check it out here. With these fest you sometimes get a rare cask being released. This is what I’m excited about. The beer list is out and can be downloaded here. These are beers that may or may not be seen again and the brewer is just playing around. Also these are only Texas breweries. I didn’t even cover the other national brands out there. I’m going to drink the hell out of all samples. These are just some that I haven’t had or seen.

Beers I’m excited about

903 Brewers Bourbon Oak Aged Sasquatch Imperial Stout

903 Brewers Special Release – Trot Line Saison Saison

Community Bret ’s Get It On Sour/Wild Ale

Community Legion – Firkin with Organic Raspberries Imperial Stout

Deep Ellum Oak Cliff Coffee Ale (firkin with rum infused cinnamon sticks)

FireWheel StrIPA – Grapefruit India Pale Ale (IPA)

Franconia Bordeaux Triple Dunkle Belgian Strong Ale

Lakewood Red Wine Barrel Aged Rock Ryder Wheat Ale

Lakewood Red Wine Barrel Aged Till & Toil Saison

Martin House Gateway XPA (firkin with Cucumber)

Peticolas Golden Opportunity Cask Dry-hopped with Lemondrop Hops Kolsch

Peticolas Great Scot! Cask with Ecuadorian Cocoa Nibs Scottish Ale
