Martin House Brewery

Published on: Jun 04 2014 by admin

Martin House is located right next to the Trinity River and I35. I remember when I first tasted Martin House at the Deep Ellum 2nd Annual Brew BQ. I was really happy to find out that they were actually from the Fort Worth area. It seemed like everyone was opening up new breweries in Dallas but no one wanted to go against Rahr. In Reality for such a huge metropolitan area there is plenty of room for more than one brewery on the Fort Worth side of town. Martin House started out with a core 3 beers but has slowly grown.

If you would like to taste any of their beers you can head over on Saturdays from 2-5 and on Thursdays starting June 5th 6-8. The cost is $10 which includes a glass and 3 fills of their beer. The brewery is large and opens up right next to the trinity. On a nice day you can sit out back and enjoy the view of the trinity river with the Fort Worth skyline in the background while you sip on a Day Break. Seats that are there may feel up fast so bring your own if your not into standing. Kids are welcome and so are dogs but must stay outside.

There are always a couple of food trucks in the back. Parking is limited around the building but you can usually find a place on the side streets across from the brewery. There are several bathrooms outside and one inside should nature call. There are also corn holes setup and a ring toss inside for entertainment. There is usually a band playing as well in the back. Be sure to check if there is a seasonal or special brewery only beer on tap as we. Some of my personal favorites are the Pretzel Stout and the Septemberfest.

If you are coming from Dallas and want to make a day of Fort Worth because, you know it is so far. I recommend the Rahr tour at 1 then hitting Martin House about 3. Then if you are still thirsty and can stand, head over to Zio Carlos on Magnolia. That should give you a decent sampling of Fort Worth beer.
